Illumination

What’s your creative vision?
How can you reveal it?

Be the lamp.
Let God light the flame.

While we live there will be darkness and light, sun and shadow. Illumination is the emergence of light, a transformation. Author Kathleen Norris writes, “When a place or time seems touched by God, it is an overshadowing, a sudden eclipsing of my priorities and plans. But even in terrible circumstances and calamities, in matters of life and death, if I sense that I am in the shadow of God, I find light, so much light that my vision
improves dramatically.” (from Amazing Grace—A Vocabulary of Faith)
Something you want to write? Something you want to sing or play? An image you want to capture? A gathering you want to start? A story that needs to be told? You can do it.
Be illuminated, and by your work, be light.
“...Light a lamp...and put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine...” (Matthew 5:15-16)
